In this message, we revisit the story of Stephen from Acts 7 and 8, focusing on what it really means to live a surrendered, Spirit-filled life. Stephen’s boldness, faith, and understanding of God’s sovereignty are powerful examples for us—not just because of what he said, but how he lived and died. He didn’t back down when facing opposition; instead, he stood firm and kept his eyes on Jesus even as he was being stoned. We’re reminded that persecution didn’t surprise God. In fact, it became a catalyst for spreading the gospel beyond Jerusalem. Just like Stephen, we’re called to live boldly, grounded in Scripture, empowered by the Spirit, and focused on Jesus. The same Spirit who worked through Stephen is in us, and if we truly surrender, God can use our lives to bring hope and truth to a world that desperately needs it.
