This week we’re looking at the story of Jesus walking on water in Matthew 14. It’s a familiar story, but it contains some deep truths about moving past your comfort zone and trusting God instead of just clinging to what feels safe – just like Peter did when he tried to walk on the water like Jesus. We’re encouraged to “get out of the boat” and let God transform us by renewing our minds so we see life through His Kingdom’s priorities. Even when things around us are wild—storms, fear, chaos—Jesus is still present, calling us to trust Him rather than cling to what feels safe. By making our belief in God the central, guiding force of everything we do, this is when worship becomes real and we learn what it means to truly live for what lasts.
