We just heard the Christmas story retold through narration and song, and the song Mary, Did You Know? invites us to sit with that story and really ponder who Jesus is and what His coming means for us. The song asks rhetorical questions about the baby in Mary’s arms — that He would one day walk on water, heal the blind, calm storms, save all people, rule creation, and be the perfect Lamb — to help us reflect on both His humanity and His divinity. As we reflect together, we’re reminded to slow down, move past distractions, and let the wonder of Christ’s incarnation and redemptive purpose sink into our hearts. Only then can we respond with the awe and renewed intimacy our Savior deserves.
